Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Marketing

This honours degree programme is a four-year full-time programme consisting of a wide range of fundamental marketing and business courses, with a special focus on social entrepreneurship and digital marketing in an international context. It aims to provide students with solid undergraduate education required for pursuing career or further study in the marketing field.

The structure of the curriculum is as follows:

I) Major Core Courses 39 units
II) Major Required Courses 21 units
III) Major Elective Courses 27 units
IV) University Core Courses 13 units
V) General Education Courses 18 units
VI) Free Electives 10 units
    128 units

Requirements

The four-year degree programme requires students to complete a total of 128 units, including 39 units of Major Core Courses, 21 units of Major Required Courses, 27 units of Major Elective Courses, 13 units of University Core Courses, 18 units of General Education Courses and 10 units of Free Electives.

Students with Associate Degree or Higher Diploma qualifications will normally be admitted directly into the third year of study to complete the 66-unit programme in two years. The number of courses/units the students are required to complete will depend on the number of courses/units for which exemption and/or unit transfer will be granted. All unit transfer or course exemption shall be considered on a case-by-case basis upon admission. Students are required to complete all programme prerequisites, University Core and General Education Courses to meet the graduation requirement. Make-up courses may be required on admission.

Specifically, students are required to complete 15 units of Major Core Courses, 21 units of Major Required Courses, 27 units of Elective Courses, and 3 units of General Education Capstone Course.

* Graduates from associate degree and higher diploma programmes in business or related disciplines can be exempted from Year 1 and Year 2 courses if they have studied relevant courses in their previous studies.
