Minor Programme in Film

Students seeking to pursue the study of a minor programme would need to fulfil 15 units of courses specified by the offering department/programme, and note that no registration priority will be given to enrolment in minor courses. Upon completion of the 15 units required for the minor programmes, students should apply to the Academic Registry for approval.

The structure of the curriculum is as follows:

  FILM3025 Digital Aesthetics and Practices 3 units

  FILM3035 Chinese-language Cinema 3 units
  FILM3045 Creative Arts and Visual Strategy 3 units
  FILM3047 Hollywood Cinema 3 units
  FILM3067 Creative Media Management 3 units
  FILM3097 Hong Kong Cinema 3 units
  FILM4015 Film and Television Directing 3 units
  FILM4026 East Asian Cinemas: History and Current Issues 3 units
  FILM4027 Special Topics in Film 3 units
    15 units

Remark:

Students are required to take at least two courses (6-units) at Level 3 or 4.
