Executive Master of Business Administration (Business + Communication in the AI Age)

The EMBA is an executive master programme jointly offered by the School of Business and the School of Communication. The programme is designed to equip senior executives, CEOs, and business leaders with advanced leadership and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in modern business practices. The programme is offered in full-time mode on campus in Hong Kong.
Following the aims and objectives described above, the EMBA Programme Learning Goals (Programme Intended Learning Outcomes) are as follows:
- Students will master advanced executive-level leadership and strategic management skills, enabling them to effectively lead organizations through complex global challenges and opportunities;
- Students will cultivate a sophisticated understanding of cross-cultural dynamics and develop the ability to navigate international markets, with a particular focus on Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the Asia-Pacific region;
- Student will integrate cutting-edge communication strategies, including data-driven strategic and persuasive communication, into their leadership practices to drive organizational success in the AI age; and
- Student will enhance their ability to lead ethically and sustainably, leveraging emerging technologies and communication tools to create value for their organizations while addressing societal and environmental responsibilities.
Class sessions are held on consecutive days from Thursday to Sunday, enabling senior executives, CEOs, and business leaders to complete the programme in 21 months. With special permission, students may extend their studies for up to 24 months.
The programme adopts an integrative learning approach, drawing upon the diverse disciplines of the School of Business and the School of Communication. Teaching methods blend formal theory with the development of work-related skills within each subject area. The curriculum emphasises advanced business acumen, cross-cultural management, and the strategic integration of AI—moving beyond digital transformation to equip students with the foresight and adaptability to lead in an AI-driven world and capitalise on emerging global opportunities.
Learning is accomplished through a structured progression: foundational business disciplines, advanced strategic topics, expert-led workshops with reflective application, authentic assessments beyond current experience, cross-cultural field study, and a capstone project that demonstrates mastery of all learning outcomes. Informative lectures are complemented by academic and professional expertise, alongside problem-centred assignments and projects.
