BUSD7170 Entrepreneurship and New Venture Development (3)
This course provides students with a full and practical introduction to entrepreneurship with a strong emphasis being placed on the development of new ventures with digital-enabling initiatives in the fast-changing globalized business world. Adopting a practitioner’s stand, the scope of this course covers the process of corporate and individual entrepreneurial undertakings including, but not limited to, business plan development, venture team building, business model development, business feasibility, resource allocation, the valuation of ventures, and venture communication plan. Furthermore, students will learn how to apply the entrepreneurship mindset and understanding to launch a new venture from idea identification, evaluate, examine and execution through assimilation of the concepts, frameworks, and knowledge learned in this study.
