Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management

The Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management aims to provide students with a comprehensive vocational training experience in the field of nutrition and food industries, covering subjects such as food science, nutritional science, food services practice, food production, and food marketing. Students must complete 64 units which normally require two years of full-time study.

The structure of the curriculum is as follows:

I) Core Language Courses
9 units
II) General Education (GE) Level 1 Foundational Courses 13 units
III) Specialisation Courses 36 units
IV) Elective Studies Courses 6 units

 Requirements

I. Core Language Courses 9 units
  Students should complete a total of 9 units from the following two categories:  
  English Language (6 units)  
  HDGS0301 English for Business 3 units
  HDGS0306 Writing Academic English 3 units
  Chinese Language (3 units)  
  CCLC1200P Elementary Chinese* 3 units
  HDGS0303C Practical Chinese Writing 3 units
  HDGS0303P Practical Chinese Writing^ 3 units

  * For Non-Chinese Speaking Students (as per EDB guideline).
