University Language Requirement

The University Language Requirement consists of University English I (UE I), University English II (UE II), and University Chinese, with each course worth 3 units, totaling 9 units. Students are required to complete UE I in their first year and UE II in their second year of study. 

The course Enhancing English through Global Citizenship (EEGC) is compulsory for all students who meet only the minimum English language requirements for entrance to undergraduate programmes, e.g., those with an HKDSE English Level 3, or an overall IELTS score of 6.0 or below.
