Master of Arts in Chinese Literature, Language and Culture

The programme aims to cultivate in students a deeper knowledge of Chinese culture and broaden their vision with new perspectives to prepare them in meeting the challenges of the changing society.  It enhances students' Chinese language skills and cultural literacy, which are particularly essential for professions such as education, media and cultural management.

The programme is comprised of 27 units including a Project Report (3 units) to be required either in full-time or part-time mode.  The majority of courses will be taught in the evenings (6:30–9:20 pm) of weekdays or Saturday mornings during the semester.  There will also be some courses conducted during the daytime (8:30 am–6:20 pm) on weekdays.

* Courses are taught in day time (8:30 am–6:20 pm). Guidance of and permission by the Programme Co-ordinator are required for taking these courses.

^ Part-time students are required to take CHI 7011 and CHI 7012 in their first year of study.

# In the final semester of the study programme, students are required to write a Project Report—CHI 7390 Project Report to fulfil the graduation requirement. For this Project Report, students are required to choose a research area in line with student's specialisation.
