Minor Programme in Human Resources Management (For Non-BBA Students)
Philosophy and Rationale
Organizations have prized human capital as the most critical strategic asset in driving success. The uniqueness of each individual employee requires organizations to take a people-centric approach to design policies and practices to create a delightful employee experience. The Human Resources Management Minor aims to equip future managers with the essential knowledge and skills to design, implement, and evaluate HR strategies and practices to enhance employee performance and support business development.
Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)
Upon completion of the Human Resources Management Minor, students will be able to:
- acquire knowledge and training in the human resources management discipline;
- have analytical and critical thinking to solve real-world business problems; and
- develop their oral and written communication skills necessary for working in a business environment.
Students seeking to pursue the study of a minor programme would need to fulfil 15 units of courses specified by the offering department/programme, with at least one course (3 units) at Level 3 or 4. Note that no registration priority will be given to enrolment in minor courses. Upon completion of the 15 units required for the minor programmes, students should apply to the Academic Registry for approval.
