Bachelor of Communication (Honours)

The Bachelor of Communication (Honours) programme offers a variety of ways to explore the exciting field of communication, and equips graduates with the skills required to embark on stimulating and meaningful careers, postgraduate studies, or both. All Majors are designed in the spirit of the University’s tradition of “whole-person education”, and more than half the units in every Major are devoted to General Education (GE) courses or to courses of the student’s free choice anywhere in the University. Students spend the first year of the four-year programme mainly covering required GE courses, and take three School core courses that will help them choose their Major. Major-Minor combinations are also available.

Double Degree Programme between School of Communication, Hong Kong Baptist University and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, The University of Queensland
The Double Degree Programme between School of Communication, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, The University of Queensland (UQ) is a four-year full-time undergraduate programme whereby students study at the two universities and graduate from both. On completing the programme requirements, students will obtain two bachelor’s degrees, namely Bachelor of Communication (Honours) conferred by HKBU, and Bachelor of Journalism or Bachelor of Communication conferred by UQ.
This Programme offers participating students:
- Two bachelor degrees (Bachelor of Communication conferred by HKBU and Bachelor of Journalism or Bachelor of Communication conferred by UQ) within a four-year study period upon successful completion of all graduation requirements;
- International, multicultural and professional knowledge in the fields of Communication or Journalism that enhances students’ competitive edge in future career development or pursuit of further studies; and
- A broader range of career choices after graduation.
