This course aims to (1) provide the fundamental theory and techniques in unconstrained and constrained optimisation; (2) introduce some existing numerical software packages; and (3) offer some interdisciplinary techniques and applications related to optimisation; and (4) implement the introduced algorithms in optimisation problems with applicational backgrounds, such as transportation services, manufacturing industry, etc.
