Editorial design is a specialized sub-section of graphic design focusing on the design of publications, both digital or print. VART2516 Editorial Design provides advanced knowledge and skills in graphic design, and its working processes, with a focus on printed media. The course covers all production steps from content generation, information editing, digital pre-production, and finally printing and binding. Thus, in this course students are expected to become the author, the editor, the designer, the director and the producer of one publication project.
Please note that this course does not include teaching of graphic design computer software. Knowledge of such software is not required to complete the course work, but may turn out helpful.
