Courses
CHEM3007 Physical Chemistry II (3.5 units)
- Medium of Instruction:
- English
This is a core course which attempts to equip chemistry students with the fundamental concepts of quantum chemistry and molecular symmetry. The first two-thirds introduce quantum chemistry and their applications in simple but relevant chemical models. The last one-third dedicates to application of point-group symmetry found in molecules, which is an important prerequisite to spectroscopic techniques in structure determination, applied spectroscopy and materials science.
