SIMT3007 Internship 1 (3 units)

This three-unit course requires students to work for local or non-local organizations or events for at least 150 hours before their graduation. Students can choose their placement in different types of sports events or agencies. These agencies could be public, private, voluntary or commercial. The course aims to achieve the following:
- provide students with firsthand knowledge and understanding of community structure and forces which affect them.
- provide students with opportunities to interact with professionals on the job and to gain work experience in the real world.
- provide students with opportunities to put knowledge and theory into practice. Through the internship experience, students are expected to develop techniques and skills commonly practiced in the related fields locally, in order to explore future employment opportunities.
