POLS2017 Foundations of International Relations (3 units)

This is a course which introduces students to the basic concepts, methods and processes of International Relations by focusing on three major “perspectives” that have framed analytical work in the field, namely “Realism”, “Liberalism”, and “Constructivism”. . This course employs a “level of analysis” approach to explore key issues in contemporary world politics in the domains of security, trade, finance, and climate change.
