PHYS7330 Renewable Energy Systems (3 units)
- Medium of Instruction:
- English
This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of renewable energy systems. Upon completion, students will: (i) appreciate the strategic context of renewable energy systems within the global energy landscape and its critical role in a sustainable future; (ii) understand the fundamental scientific principles that govern the primary renewable energy sources available on Earth; (iii) grasp the core engineering principles and technologies used to convert these natural energy flows into useful power; and (iv) develop a critical awareness of the practical challenges and system-level considerations involved in integrating renewable energy into modern society, transmission, storage, and economics.
