This course is to enhance students’ knowledge and practical skills in outdoor pursuits. Experiential learning in outdoor settings integrates scientific knowledge with practical competence in outdoor adventure activities and supports the common learning outcomes of skill-based courses. The course also promotes physical and mental well-being, responsible participation, environmental awareness, a healthy respect for the natural environment, and an understanding of how to reduce the environmental footprint of outdoor activities.
