Courses
MATH7880 Survey Sampling and Experimental Design (3 units)
- Medium of Instruction:
- English
This course provides a rigorous introduction to the planning and implementation of survey operations, including the design and selection of samples and the construction of questionnaires, with particular relevance to the analysis of industrial development and industrial performance. It examines arange of survey sampling methodologies and their associated statistical inference procedures, with emphasis on the estimation of population means and proportions in applied industrial contexts. The course further explores experimental design techniques, including factorial and uniform designs, as well as design methodologies for computer experiments, with applications to the evaluation and optimization of industrial systems and processes.
