Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming how humans and machines collaborate across diverse domains. This course will provide an introduction to combining human and AI to generate business value. This course introduces students to the principles and practices of human-AI interaction, focusing on effective and ethical collaboration between people and AI systems. Topics include human cognition in AI design, explainable AI, human feedback in machine learning, human-AI co-creation, natural language-based AI agents, and issues of fairness and ethics. Through lectures, discussions, and a hands-on capstone project, students will critically analyze and design human-centered AI systems, gaining practical skills to shape the future of human-AI collaboration.
