This course develops students’ ability to report and write accurately on business, finance and economic issues using fundamental newsgathering and writing techniques. It focuses on the principles of reporting and the use of data and financial information, while strengthening students’ ability to produce clear, concise and engaging news stories for an international audience. Through the analysis of professional journalism and regular reporting practice, students will learn to cover spot news and develop feature stories on business and financial topics, integrating subject knowledge with effective journalistic storytelling. Students will also engage in critical discussions of ongoing current events in international media.
