HUMN4037 Special Topics in Arts and Creativity (3 units)
This course aims to help students acquire basic concepts, knowledge, and skills related to art and creativity, and to provide practical training in various artistic forms and creative processes. The topics and practices explored in this course may vary depending on the instructor, creating a dynamic, evolving curriculum that reflects diverse perspectives in the field of art and creativity. The course is designed not only to develop practical skills and techniques in artistic creation, but also to foster a deeper understanding of art as a vital mode of human expression—particularly as it relates to contemporary issues such as inclusivity, technology, innovation, and LGBTQ themes—its aesthetics, and the development of each student’s own ideas and artistic styles.
