This course aims to enhance students understanding of the role of Human Resources Management in global organizations and in the Chinese Mainland. It covers major HR concepts, strategies, and practices for managing a global workforce, including topics related to business ethics and corporate social responsibility, with emphasis on the convergence and divergence of HRM across countries, as well as practical issues in China such as local recruitment, expatriate management, performance and rewards, management development and localization, PRC labour law, and valueadding HR strategies in the current digital era.
