This course aims to provide a fundamental understanding about the semiconductor technology that is used as the building block for artificial intelligence hardware implementation. Basic principles of semiconductor materials science, components and device fabrication processing will be discussed. Technological innovation related to artificial intelligence hardware, such as emerging materials systems and device concepts will also be discussed.
