This course aims at providing a comprehensive and lively guide to the history, culture, geography and economic development of the Delta. Lectures will focus on the current regional development, planning and governance issues related to the Greater Bay Area, with particular attention to sustainable urbanisation, economic growth, and regional integration. It also considers challenges related to environmental sustainability and innovation. This course is intended to help students understand the impact that the Peral River Delta has had on their lives and the opportunities it offered to them.
