This course lays the foundation for understanding how artificial intelligence technologies can be meaningfully integrated into narrative film production. Rooted firmly in traditional cinematic knowledge and skills, it shows how AI can function as a supportive tool to amplify human creativity, storytelling, and the entire production process.

Students will acquire a broad foundational perspective on the complete production workflow — from initial creative ideation and script development, through visual and hybrid production stages, to audio and composing techniques.

The course maintains that strong storytelling and creative vision are the enduring core of successful narrative films. Particular emphasis is placed on ethical considerations, copyright awareness, and the practical requirements of Hong Kong’s film industry.
