It attends to Hong Kong and East Asian action traditions alongside Hollywood and other global practices, highlighting how culture, genre, technology, and production conditions shape action performance. Students will: Build a robust safety-first practice and on-set etiquette for action work. Develop a physical vocabulary for screen combat, falls, and reactions calibrated to camera and editing. Collaborate with coordinators and technical teams. Analyze and adapt to diverse action aesthetics and narratives across cultures and genres. Create and evaluate a filmed action scene with clear storytelling, risk management, and performance clarity.
