This course delves into environmental monitoring, assessment, and reporting, highlighting the significance of public health and sustainable buildings. It offers an in-depth exploration of emerging monitoring technologies, building environmental assessments such as Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM) Plus assessment framework, and effective research methodologies. Students will gain a robust understanding of environmental impacts across various domains, enhancing their ability to analyze data and produce scientific reports, thus preparing them for tackling new environmental and public health problems and other challenges in environmental science and management. There will be a BEAM Affiliate examination organized by BEAM Society Limited (BSL) and arranged by HKBU. The student upon passing the examination of the course and completing the MSc in EPHM programme will be eligible to register as a BEAM Affiliate at Hong Kong Green Building Council.
