This course introduces students to the creative and production workflow of contemporary short drama for both vertical and horizontal screens. Students will learn to integrate AI generation technology, live performance, and XR virtual production in the making of 1–2 minute short films/short drama scenes. Making use of the facilities of virtual production studio, the course covers script development, visual storytelling, studio shooting, and post-production. Through lectures, workshops (AD workshop; Acting workshop), exercises, and guest sharing, students will be exposed to the latest technology innovation in this field and will understand short drama industry practices, rapid production cycles, and platform-oriented storytelling.
