Courses
COMP3117 Applied Artificial Intelligence (3 units)
- Prerequisite:
- COMP2027 Applied Linear Algebra for Computing
This course provides an overview of the development of neural networks and introduces the basic concepts of artificial intelligence and deep learning. Furthermore, it focuses on the various deep learning architectures under supervised learning and unsupervised learning paradigms. Students will gain hands-on programming experience in developing and training different deep models in laboratory sessions. The course lays the foundation for other AI courses, including natural language processing, audio processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, and human-computer interaction.
