During the clinical internship, students will experience the full range of responsibilities of a Chinese medicine practitioner (CMP) under the supervision of CMPs and hospital staff. Students are expected to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the programme in a Chinese medicine teaching hospital designated by the School of Chinese Medicine of the Hong Kong Baptist University.  Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to demonstrate skills in practitioner-patient communication, disease diagnosis, patient management and patient treatment. They are expected to be able to perform the diagnostic and treatment procedures for common diseases, and to be competent in treating common diseases with the use of Chinese medicine.

Remark: In addition to the stated medium of instruction, Cantonese would be used for supplementing and facilitating teaching and learning as appropriate.  

學員將於香港浸會大學中醫藥學院指定的中醫教學醫院完成為期46週的臨床實習。實習期間，學員將運用在課程中學習的知識與技能，在教學醫院的帶教導師指導下，參與各項診療活動。透過完成實習課程，學員在醫患溝通、住院部病房管理、疾病診斷治療等方面的能力將會獲得進一步提升，並能夠診斷常見疾病以及進行中醫治療。
