There are six main objectives of Residential Workshop I:

1. To welcome new DBA students to the program.
2. To provide new students with an overview of the program.
3. To offer students a refreshing back-to-school experience through five one-hour mini-courses corresponding to their upcoming curriculum.
4. To assist each student in developing a personalized study plan.
5. To facilitate meetings between students and potential supervisors.
6. To enable students to learn from alumni study experiences
