PRAO3107 Career Readiness: Internship and Professional Skills (2 units)
This 2-credit course aims to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to transition successfully from the classroom to the workplace. This course covers critical facets of organisational life, emphasising effective communication and relationship-building. Students will engage in hands-on activities such as crafting resumes and cover letters tailored to prospective employers. The course also delves into organisational culture, workplace dynamics, and the importance of managing one's professional identity. Students will learn to communicate effectively in various contexts, such as face-to-face conversations and online interactions, and will gain insights into team collaboration, workplace ethics, and leadership communication. Students will be well-prepared to navigate their internships confidently and successfully.
Upon completion of this course, students are required to enrolled in the 1-credit PRAO3106 Strategic Communication Internship and Practicum course to fulfill the graduation requirement.
