This course aims to familiarise students with emerging field of sound art, as both a performance practice as well as encompassing non-narrative, non-performative works in a gallery context. By the end of the course students will be able to identify the various genres, techniques, and unique practices made possible by technology and multidisciplinary creative practices emerging post-1945 and apply them to the creation and analysis of their own sound art projects.
