MUS 7730 Performance Practice in Context (3 units)
This course will present different performance practices (historical, traditional Chinese, current and experimental) by examining foundational texts, as well as a wide variety of approaches, disciplines (anthropology, theatre studies, dance) and topics (ornamentation, improvisation, style and traditional Chinese instruments).
