IMPP4895 Honours Project in Interactive Media Publishing (3 units)
This course is dedicated to empowering students to conceptualise and develop their own pioneering publishing initiatives, enabling them to apply the innovative and critical aspects of emerging media explored throughout the programme. In the Honours Project, students will integrate contemporary storytelling practices and publishing models, emphasising the transformative impact of emerging technologies. They will engage in critical reflection on how these advancements reshape narrative creation and consumption while addressing ethical, social, and environmental responsibilities and challenges.
In the Honours Project, students will design a publishing project or write an analytical thesis. It highlights their expertise in the field and embodies the pinnacle of their innovative and visionary endeavors. This initiative will highlight their advanced problem-solving skills through an iterative design process or research practice, supported by ongoing feedback from advisors. Students will present their final project, which may include a written report, concept boards, and prototypes or a written thesis, all evaluated by a panel of faculty members.
