This 6-unit course is designed to provide students with an intensive professional training experience that enhances their academic knowledge through practical application within an external organization in Hong Kong, Mainland China, or overseas. The course transcends mere theoretical application; it facilitates an in-depth foray into the professional realm, offering students the opportunity to engage directly with real-world challenges. Moreover, the course encourages students to deliberate on the significant impact of transdisciplinary scholarship in practical settings. Upon completion of their standard classroom courses, students can undertake this placement during the summer. They will have the chance to work with an extensive range of organizations from urban planning institutes and governmental agencies to non-governmental organisations and private enterprises.
