Cities around the world are facing a variety of environmental health challenges, including air pollution, noise, water safety, traffic congestion, heat stress, and etc. These environmental health hazards also pose great threaten to the health of dense population there. Solutions to these problems can bring multiple benefits for public health. In this course, different types of urban environmental health hazards and health risk assessment will be introduced. This course will also discuss what are potentially useful solutions to these urban challenges and what are the current status of how they are applied in different countries.
