This course provides opportunities for students to understand the background and values of research on the built environment, travel behavior and subjective wellbeing. The course will cover the following major contents: Conceptualisations and measurements of the built environment, travel behavior and subjective wellbeing; associations among the built environment, travel behavior and wellbeing; the role of attitudes in the link between the built environment and travel behavior; Research methods including research design, data collection and analytical issues such as the influence of spatial scales, spatial autocorrelation and heterogeneity, etc.
