This course provides an introduction to the role of data and analytics in urban studies with a particular focus on emerging sources and applications of geospatial analytics, AI and big data. Students will engage with conceptual material through readings, discussion, and lectures, learning about examples of big data analysis in various fields of urban studies, including travel behavior, land use, built environment, housing, urban morphology, disaster resilience, public health, cultural landscape, and tourism.
