The key objectives of this course are: (1) to provide an interdisciplinary introduction as well as conceptual background of resilience theory to students from an urban perspective, (2) introduce principles of geospatial data science along with their applications to smart, resilient and sustainable cities, (3) teach students with practical examples to establish priorities through geospatial tools and technologies in order to improve overall urban resilience and sustainability. In short, this course aims to train students to become resilience managers/program coordinators/officers in public private institutions/organizations, where they can play significant roles to design smart, resilient and sustainable cities.
