EDPY7030 Developmental Psychology and Developmental Disorder (3 units)

This course begins by introducing theories at work in developmental psychology and by reviewing the main principles, methods, issues and developmental processes. A life span approach to human development is undertaken throughout the course. Emphasis is put on the development of child and adolescent. It also aims to equip students with essential knowledge about developmental disorders. Environmental influences, and the impact which family, peers and significant others has upon human development is carefully explored.
