To demonstrate the scopes, concepts and mode of thinking of Chinese medicine philosophy from the perspectives of dialectic and historical materialism. The general theories of Chinese medicine, the relationship between Chinese medicine and Chinese philosophy, the connotation and mode of thinking of Chinese medicine philosophy will also be discussed. The course aims at equipping students with the basic knowledge of Chinese medicine philosophy for their future study in medical theories, clinical practice and research development.

Remark: In addition to the stated medium of instruction, Cantonese would be used for supplementing and facilitating teaching and learning as appropriate.  

本課程通過對中國傳統文化尤其是春秋、秦、漢文化中一些重要哲學思想的講解，使學生了解中國哲學思想形成與發展的脈絡；初步掌握中國哲學思想的一些特點，使學生理解在此基礎之上所建立的中醫藥學的方法論與思維方式，為日後深入學習和研究中醫藥學奠定基礎。
