The course aims to introduce to students various theories, concepts and issues associated with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) within organisational contexts. The curriculum emphasises the importance of setting DEI objectives and goals, exploring various models and strategic frameworks and fostering partnerships that advance these aims. The course will highlight how effective DEI strategies, through transformative and inclusive leadership, long-term governance, partnership development and data-driven DEI, can yield opportunities and competitive advantages for organisations.
Students will analyse the critical roles of data, partnerships and technologies as foundational elements in driving effective DEI strategies. The course will also address the implications of DEI efforts for both internal and external environments, focusing on evaluation, metrics, accountability, and the development of a DEI scorecard. Through case studies and group discussions, students will develop actionable strategies and tactics that leverage data-enhanced solutions to create collaborations and synergies with internal and external stakeholders to achieve a sustainable and inclusive business environment.
