This course aims to provide an opportunity for students to study in-depth selected topics in contemporary issues and technological innovations related to sound art.
Through examination of theories and case studies related to the topic, students will investigate issues in sound art from an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspective. The course will then guide students to integrate various points of view, and to develop their own critical judgment on the topic under study.
With these foundations, the course will then aim to investigate through practice different approaches and methodologies to the course topic, and to ultimately connect and integrate them with existing skills and knowledge. The aim is to develop practical skills and concepts for students’ creative practices relating to sound at an advanced level.
