This course aims to provide introduction, basic theory and methods of artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning approaches. Teaching and learning activities will equip students with the knowledge of applications in drug design, they will understand structure-based and ligand-based drug design techniques in order to apply these approaches in virtual drug screening, lead optimization. Case studies will be used to demonstrate how one can employ these technologies to resolve real world problems.
