ISEM3035 Introduction to Business Data Analytics and Visualization (3 units)
This course will provide a foundation in the area of business data analytics and visualization based on the data curation and statistical analysis. The primary learning objective of this course is to learn data analysis concepts and the techniques that facilitate making decisions from a rich data set. Students will investigate data concepts, data curation methods, general linear method, cluster analysis, and basics of data visualization. This course will help students understand how to use data analysis tools, and especially, provide an opportunity to utilize the widely used data analytics tools for the data analytics and visualization. This course will also discuss diverse issues around data analytics such as technologies, behaviours, organizations, policies, and security.
