This three-unit course requires students to work for local or overseas organisations or events for 220-230 hours before their graduation. Students can choose their placement in different types of events, projects, organisations or agencies that are relevant to health, social wellbeing, and technology/innovation. These agencies could be public, private, voluntary or commercial.

The objectives are to: (1) provide opportunities for students to learn first-hand knowledge about project/workplace/organisation operation in the context of innovation in health and social well-being; (2) offer students the experience of understanding community structure and forces which affect the development and achievement of health and social-being; (3) provide students with opportunities to interact with professionals on the job and to gain working experience in the real world; (4) provide students with opportunities to put knowledge and theory into practice; and (5) facilitate students to develop techniques and skills commonly practiced in the health-related fields locally, for prepare for their career after graduation.
