This course trains students to acquire the ability of analysing human, social behaviour, and business decision by using statistical methods. The course emphasizes conceptual understanding of various statistical techniques and their accompanying limitations. Furthermore, students will learn how to apply the statistical theories to handle large quantities of data and solve statistical problems through readily available computer packages. This course will help students build up a solid basis for studying econometrics at a later stage.
