BUS 7223 MBA Capstone Project (1 unit)
The MBA Capstone Project is the culmination of student’s MBA journey, representing an industry-standard business project report of exceptional quality suitable for leading-edge firms worldwide. It serves as a real-world showcase of their potential for impactful contributions, offering profound insights and the level of executive polish expected from MBA graduates. As an integral part of the project, students are required to integrate sustainable and responsible business practices to enhance the project’s significance by emphasising the importance of socially and environmentally responsible business solutions. This project provides a platform to demonstrate their readiness for pivotal roles in intrapreneurial or entrepreneurial endeavors.
Intrapreneurial Leadership:
Students may choose to excel within their current organisation by taking on a significant general management role or advising capacity. Their Capstone Project can involve strategies, initiatives, or recommendations aimed at advancing their current company' s goals.
Entrepreneurial Ventures:
If student’s aspirations lean towards entrepreneurship, their Capstone Project can include developing a comprehensive business plan for their new company. It can also encompass research proposals for launching new units within their existing organisation or in-depth market research to inform promotional endeavors.
Students are expected to work in groups of 3 on the project, with a maximum of 4 students in a group. Groups of 4 will only be considered in exceptional circumstances, and will be subject to the approval of the Project Co-ordinator.
