This course is aimed at inspiring students to take a broader perspective in sustainability and developing students’ mindset on tacking the environmental and social related issues through the sustainable management. This course will explore how different environmental forces such as climate change creating challenges and opportunities for the government, business and public, and how the government and business professionals formulating the sustainability related policies and strategies to govern these issues. The students will recognize the principles and notions of sustainable development and the inter-relationship between environmental protection and social/economic progress. They will also be equipped with essential knowledge on mitigation and resilience of climate change and how cities achieving carbon neutrality.
