AIDM7870 Data Security, Privacy, and Ethics for Digital Media (3 units)
This course aims to introduce the fundamental knowledge and principal concepts of data security, privacy and ethics in the field of digital media. The goal of the course is to familiarise the students with basic concepts of security and privacy, their definitions, applications and current advances. This course also explores the moral, social, and ethical ramifications of the choices at the different stages of media data analytics. A variety of practical applications in media and communication are included, such as social media threats and ethical considerations in social media analytics.
